Mr. Khushwant Pahwa
(Founder and Consulting Actuary)

Mr. Khushwant Pahwa is a Consulting Actuary with over 10 years of work experience, providing consultancy in various actuarial practice areas. He is a qualified Actuary (being a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India and Institute of Actuaries, UK) and a commerce graduate (Bachelor in Commerce (Honours)) from the University of Delhi.

He has worked in various actuarial practice areas including life insurance, general insurance and employee benefits. He is also currently serving as the Chief and Appointed Actuary of a leading private general insurance company in India.

He is also a member of the Advisory Group on Pensions, Other Employee Benefits & Social Security and Advisory Group on Life Insurance of the Institute of Actuaries of India.

He has co-authored and presented papers at the Global Conference of Actuaries on topics of "Corporate Governance" and "Regulatory and Reputational Risk Management".

During his previous assignments / roles, he was nominated for and attended management training for future leaders at Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad (one of the top Management Schools of India). He was also recognized for outstanding contribution at a regional (Asia Pacific) level and nominated for Staff Regional Recognition Programme held in Malaysia in 2010. He was also rewarded with awards like ‘Value Ambassador’, Award for Business Excellence and award for outstanding performance.

Mr. Arpaan Begdai
(Senior Manager - Actuarial)

Mr. Arpaan Begdai is an Aspiring Actuary and is making swift progress towards the qualification, and he is also a commerce graduate (Bachelor of Commerce (Honours)) from University of Delhi.

With a work experience of over 5 years, he has worked in various areas requiring actuarial specialisation, such as , valuation of the UK Defined Benefit pension schemes, designing and pricing of micro insurance products, business planning, statistical and risk modelling. His experience comes from working with various companies like Jardine Lloyd Thompson – UK Consultancy and Micro Insurance Academy. He has also been rewarded with several awards for outstanding performance.
